CMC and CNS get raked if we run on first and second down and get nothing, but we could have ran 2 minutes off the clock there and instead ran 15 seconds.

Got too cute with the play calling. You're having some success running the ball and want to drain clock, not running on one of 1st or 2nd down strikes me as a mistake.
