You could say the same thing about the 80 yarder. Both times KU knew pressure was coming and called the play that took advantage of it.
Only really disappointing thing is of the three games involved in the Big 12 race today of course we are the only home team to drop it. Can’t lose this game at home with what was on the line.
Had this been on the road ok, but night game at home? Gotta win those.

Zero adjustment made. How in the hell are you going to play 3 safeties and get in one on one coverage down field. Where’s the one of three safety help?
I wanted to go 1-1 between KU and BYU and I was very optimistic about the KU game (BYU not so much). Dropped this one and I am afraid we are going to get creamed at BYU.
-Late night game (not sure ISU has ever played this late)
-Playing in altitude

They clearly thought they could run at will against this defense and it cost them the game. Frustrating and kind of reminded me of the Iowa game.
The team in the first half looked timid and not ready for moment and opposite of how they played and coached the last 5 games. Disappointing.

Campbell's his own worst enemy, and his stubbornness and predictability is costing ISU wins.
We deserved to lose. however, we pull our head out in the first quarter and we likely win. Just like Iowa and Ohio. That is the frustrating part.

then we are sound defensively "except for like 4 plays" which they score on or damage us on. Since the offense can't find their way out of a wet paper bag, that equals a loss.

That was possibly the worse defensive effort in the Campbell era post 2016. Jason effing Bean just carved up the defense.

I came in feeling like the KU game was a must win for a bowl game. I expect us to lose out now to finish 5-7. BYU is just a tough road trip, and I think UT and KSU are just flat out better teams than us.
Just wondering when we're going to grow past these slow starts - both in games and in seasons in general.
I agree. If it’s not there the qb can still eat it and punt. It kept our offense off the field. I was jealous.
I swear it’s a macho thing to prove you can line up and telegraph interior run and still run for 3 yards.

I just wish our team could be more consistent. Some games we look solid, some weeks we look like we have no clue what we're doing.
