Don’t get me wrong, I had a hard on for those threes last night and - Shot form yea but there’s a lot to get him anywhere close to bird level. He doesn’t pass (yet) like bird did. We also didn’t really be creative inside the arc. Defensively and rebounding he was good but let’s wait and see how he does against bigger quicker big 12 players before anointing him the next bird.
No one was trying to say he's on par with one of the 10 greatest basketball players to ever walk the planet.

Is this serious?

I feel like people have been pretty pumped about him for a while. Did I miss something?

I was excited for a good shooter to come in and regularly work their way onto the court by January or something but I didn't expect him to start and look like a veteran regardless of opponent.

Come on he's only the third highest ranked recruit in the modern Era. I barely even wanted him and expected him to need 5 or 6 years to be ready to play. Pleasantly surprised that he might be ready before he graduates...

Omaha is one and done. I would not doubt if Milan is one and done also. Guess I don't know his true height but he seems more NBA ready than Omaha. Omaha has the upside the NBA loves though.

Probably have to redshirt at TOE. Tough to crack that lineup.

What I liked about Milan was that he hunts his shot. It’s cool to see a 6’8” guy swing under the basket to the wing and drain a three.

His body looks Big12 ready as well. The dude has thick legs for a tall kid and you can tell he’s been working on his muscle mass. Dude is a man.

The kid is only going to get better and without a doubt will be responsible for a buzzer beater or two as we glide through the season.

I bet for Halloween he dressed as an angel because this dude was sent to ISU from Heaven.

Edit: Evidentially, angles can't fly. Who knew.

When I saw him at the ISU Iowa football game I was taken aback about how big he looked

Buzzer beaters? Wtf are you talking about, we won’t need buzzer beaters this year. I don’t expect to have close games. :)

He shoots a little like Bird. And he's about as tall as Bird. And he's white. That's about all the farther I'm willing to go at this point. I do like what I see though.

Shorter Dirk is a closer comparison to a legend MVP if we must compare to top 10-20 players in history of basketball. Not just because they're both white. They have more comparable athletic ability, shot and same off balanced fadeaway, I'm sure Milan studied it. Just Dirk was a 7 footer which made it even more lethal.

Great players make the game look easy and that's exactly what Milan did. Not really sure how big12 teams are going to defend his shot. He's tall, got a quick release, and can fade. Almost unstoppable unless you deny him the ball, and that will only lead to opening someone else up. Lipsey and Gilbert would chew you up if too much attention was given to Milan. Now if Lipsey and King can consistently hit their 3's this team could be special.

Another impressive outing. He will just continue to get better and better. For those more in the know and a better grasp of the NBA than I is Milan likely to only be in college for a year or two or is he more likely to be a three or four year player? Would love to build the program around he and Lipsey for the next couple of years.
