With their line we had to pass in order to run, and run wide. One deep ball, that worked.
It is a good thing some posters on here aren’t OCs. They want Rocco throwing about 70 times. There were some runs that we were trying to get to the edge but it was getting blown up in the middle before the back could get to the edge.
We should expect better than 6-6. With better coaching this is an 8 win team.
Some of y’all need to sack up. There’s been games worth bit***n and moaning about the past 7 years. This isn’t one of them.
That was a brawl and we were severely out gunned in the trenches. That was a toe to toe slugfest. They had a few more haymakers.
Play like that tonight, we win in Manhattan next week and I feel confident in bowl game as well.

Their d-line was incredible, but we did NOTHING to try and work around it. I counted inside zone 13 times and a counter 2 times. 2 more zone reads where Rocco kept it.
2 plays went for 5 or more yards. Maybe, just maybe, we don’t continue to run our face into a brick wall doing the same thing over and over.
The most frustrating part was the fact that clearly they have enough creativity to get receivers and backs open in the passing game with screens and motions.. but we refuse to do anything but run it up the middle for no gain in the run game.

Good thing is, I may never think about Texas or Oklahoma ever again. I never think about tOSU, Alabama, USC, Oregon, Colorado, Texas A&M, Missouri, Clemson, Michigan, Penn St., Auburn, Florida or Florida St.
I DO think about Notre Dame. I try to sit in on any loses they are taking. That always makes me feel better.

I was impressed with Texas. This was only the 2nd time I have seen them play this year. They dominated the LOS. Still we kept it a one-score game until late. They could run the ball. We couldn't.

Well TX's lines were as good as advertised. Most teams don't have those type of dudes.
Wicked game. Roccos int hurt bad. Texas had to go deep into the play calling to beat us. No shame in that game.

You have to be a troll. This team started 1-2 and got substantially better throughout the year. It's mostly underclassmen. Our only upperclassmen rush was on a fake fg.
We lost key player positions to the gambling situation. Incredibly tough offseason... and still make a bowl!
This was a great coaching job to get to a bowl game.
Defense did great...held UT 10 below their conference scoring average coming into the game.
Offense...pretty much the same deal as KU...gotta have a plan B for the first half when the run game gets shut down. Texas has given up some points the previous two weeks.

According to Vegas they exceeded their win total. I guess Vegas thought they would crash and burn after losing all the players to the gambling scandal.

Physical, clean game.
I will give Texas credit, they were tough tonight. Dark really does a good job of keeping defenses off balance.
Our guys played their guts out, just had to be perfect and they came close. This just was not our year to beat them. Too young and not skilled enough. But hell if an effort.
I refuse to feel bad about this loss. The other team came in, played their asses off, and we lost. That happens.
