Just watching the replay now. Wow were Tillman & Brando slurping Sama and taking the company line with the backs that didn't travel.

Great job out of the ISU side to control the narrative

Maybe, but it's more likely that Abu just took over and the narrative was right there for the taking.

My favorite play was the KState defender trying to push down Sama and instead gave him a turbo boost.

Saw a field-level view of it and Lee (KSU guy) really couldn't do anything else so was probably just trying anything.

If Sama breaks runs for 77, 79 and 60 yard TDs against Iowa are you still here complaining about the decision to run the ball?

Is that before of after the space aliens land at mid field?

It’s not “complaining”. It’s being rational and realistic. There’s absolutely nothing safe or conservative about the play calling in those games. It was the opposite of safe, it was effectively creating turnovers on purpose.

It’s fantastic they got over it, and first half of KU concerned me that we weren’t over it. Great story of a season, great coaching job on the season, great player growth. But silly and irrational that some are inventing this narrative of “youth” when it was just stubbornness.

Do you think ISU should have thrown more against Iowa?

Higgins catching that first half TD that he dropped would have been more...creative?

Never going to complain about going 6-3 in Big 12 games and winning 4 Big12 road games.

But your right in the staff needs to figure a way to turn these 7-5 seasons into 8 or 9 win seasons. IMO that comes down to Sept games.

I think in any game, or any three game stretch, if half of your plays are running up the middle for a 0.6 average, that the clearly most risky dangerous thing you can possibly do is keep running it up the middle. I’m 100% certain of that.

It was stubbornness, thankfully stubbornness they got over in time to salvage a very good season. The team wasn’t too young against Ohio and suddenly not too young against OKSt a week later. They stopped banging their heads against a wall, they didn’t suddenly gain years of experience in a few weeks.

Looking at the depth chart and it's just scary what we return if we avoid portal losses. Hopefully the losses at RB free up NIL to keep this group together.

Losses

Sam LB

Kicker
TE but our most productive returns.

Anyone else checking out any of the kstate post-game pressers? These dudes are all crying. I'm chipping $5 to Kurtz on his talk so I can ask for a tear. How about Howard's eye brows? Why not do your eyebrows when you have Avery Johnson backing you up.
