******** about the early games is stupid.
But it DOES seem like this tournament was more of a reality check than our early season tournaments were the last 2 years. We played well the second half of VCU and played really well the first half tonight. But the other 4 halves? Not super.
why isn't anyone saying anything about him stepping on the line?
But having a 42% and 52% shooter from three is a team that can shoot fine. A lot of teams have two good 3 point shooters and little else, and yet they figure out how to run something that resembles offense. Yet here we are. A couple years ago there were no shooters, but other than games that IB made a bunch of ridiculous contested deep twos, the offense was hot garbage. And the games last year other than when Gabe and Holmes shot well above their norm, the offense was hot garbage. Now we have some offensive skill on the team, particularly MM, and we're going to be a team that struggles to get out of the 60s.
We can't just watch guys that are shooting <30% from 3 missing open looks and say, "Welp, don't have shooters."
The staff needs to figure it out. A vast majority of coaches have offensive skill limitations and they figure out how to get shooters shots, drivers opportunities to attack in space.
Can TJ not get someone on staff to coach offense? It looks like he wants to run the same ****** offense as last year.
Why the hell can't you review that out of bounds? OF course a call was made, not calling him out of bounds is making that call. Such a stupid ruling.
Why 'should' they be? ATM has actual depth and are great at the guard area.
Their general raw athletic ability is pretty significant.
How can you look this bad and have a 5 star recruit that barely plays? Is he overrated or is TJ performing coaching malpractice by playing guys like CJ over him?

Time to go back to Ames, review the game film, determine who the game time players are and who fades away. Who will be the team leader? Revisit the player rotation scheme to ensure that we get the best players on the floor. Oh, and shoot thousands of free throws.
I don't know. Maybe the 5 Star MCD's AA could do something to help if he actually ******* played more than 1-2 minute spurts.
