I hate being "that guy" but at this point you have to think Omaha could be a better or at least equal wing shooter/scorer and Watson is better on D and maybe better on offense even.

I'm guessing TJ's reaction to what we're seeing is already the increased Pav minutes but we may need more than just that.

We've had some calls to bench Gilbert and even Milan which I think are kind of irrational momentary frustrations, but C Jones is really hoisting a lot of bricks and the kind of plays where FTs aren't even a possibility.

C Jones is shooting the same 21% from 3 that Watson did last year (admittedly Watson only took 19 3s all year) and doesn't have Watson's length. Unless he improves his shooting I'm not seeing it.

Am I way off here in a rough chart of who is best at each spot and who should get some minutes in those spots?

Yeah, more accurate would be that Iowa State has a real fan base around the country that cares about more than just football. I'm sure a ton of Texas A&M/VTech grads/fans live in Florida too but they are fb only fans.

Becuase it is just asinine to keep asking for Billew to learn in these games. His time will come, but he is not ready.

And the answer to your second question is everyone that I have seen other than Billew looks more ready than him. I am looking forward to him being awesome and I know it will happen, but he is not there right now and showing it in small spurts every time he is on the floor.

How can you look this bad and have a 5 star recruit that barely plays? Is he overrated or is TJ performing coaching malpractice by playing guys like CJ over him?

I'll ask you the same: what are you seeing from Omaha currently when he's out there that makes you think he should be playing?

In some ways this reminds me of the 2012-13 team. Looked like ASS in the early-season tournament (and other things). We'll see what happens from here.

That team had Fred to coach offense and a couple guys that could actually shoot. I'm not seeing it.

Please. You understand…at least I hope. Successful football season - check. This can easily also be a successful basketball season. Losing a game…especially one where you had a huge lead…sucks. Doesn’t change the potential for a good season.

Still coulda used more touchdown plays tonight.
