I genuinely think fsu/acc and Bama/sec would have been equally screwed when you look at how the acc lacks depth and how well sec has done in this 4 team playoff.

Either choice would feel equally suspect, no win situation.

The "QB out" shouldn't even be part of the discussion. FSU accomplished what it accomplished. Maybe you still think Alabama is more deserving anyway, but then at least you're comparing resumes equally.

Definitely. If we’re choosing which team is hypothetically the best, what’s the point of even playing the games? Let’s just put in the teams with the 4 highest ranked recruiting classes and call it a day.

The results should matter FSU did everything they needed to. They even scheduled LSU out of conference. I’m not sure what else they should be expected to do…

Today's decision by the committee has forever damaged the credibility of the institution that is the College Football Playoff. And, saddest of all, it was self-inflicted. They chose predictive competitiveness over proven performance; subjectivity over fact. They have become a committee of prognosticators. They have abandoned their responsibility by discarding their purpose – to evaluate performance on the field.

What game would u all rather watch? A undermanned Florida state vs Michigan or Alabama vs Michigan? I think you are lying to yourself if you don’t think Bama gives Michigan the better game right now than Florida State
I think what we want to watch vs who is deserving aren't apples to apples.

The whole committee thing was ******* stupid from the beginning. Even once they expand, the committee is still going to lobby hard in the interests of ESPN and the SEC.
True but at least going forward (supposedly that is) you will at least control your own destiny if you are a power conference team. Win your league.

I think the issue people have is that a playoff shouldn’t be determined by what matchup people would rather watch. It should be determined by what happens on the field.

But you’re absolutely right. TV viewership is what drives the decisions in reality. I for one just wish the committee would drop the facade and be real with everyone.

No it hasn’t because we’re moving to a 12 team so this isn’t an issue anymore. Plus when bama wins the whole thing they will be justified just like when OSU did it.

I'd rather watch ISU play Michigan in the playoffs. Not sure what that has to do with anything
