BOWL: Liberty Bowl vs Memphis Dec 29

Another home game for Memphis. I hate that. But a bowl game is better than none at all.
Excited to be bowling but this is a bit of a boner killer.
On the bright side, Iowa State has done very well in road games this season.
I feel like it's 1:59am and only one chick is left at the bar...... same one that is always there. Oh well, going in.
Drivable distance for the students and good date/time.
We stayed at the Peabody last two times, but do not have reservations this time. What is next decent location that will have ton of ISU fans, the Sheraton?

Not excited to play Memphis again, but a winnable game for this team.
The Sheraton is the Big 12 team hotel as of now. However, in 2017 they switched it and Iowa State had the Peabody.

Shreveport and Boise were worse.
Playing Memphis in this bowl again?? Puke.
3rd time to the Liberty bowl and zero SEC opponents. 2nd time facing Memphis there. Should still be a fun trip and game but kind of disappointing

Not even close. Humanitarian Bowl in 2002 was by far the worst.
Damn. I was certainly considering a Bowl trip. But having been to Memphis twice, once against (home team) Memphis.... I'm out. Maybe go to a couple road games next fall.
