Where does one find out details about the "pre-game buffet & party" aka tailgate? It's indoor (per the youtube video), but where? Also, when does it start?

I assume the details of the pep-rally (at the ballpark probably) and the parade (Beale Street) will come out later.

Memphis is typically in 50's in late December. Just happened to be in a cold snap and 30's in 2017. Hopefully we get a warm spell this time and it is in 60's.
I was there in 2015 for the Liberty Bowl and it was freezing also, probably in the low 40s during the game.

You mean 2012 when they played Tulsa? It really sucked because it was raining. It started raining during the game and then it was absolutely pouring that night on top of being cold. The game sucked and the weather sucked.

Tulsa tabled the turns after ISU dominated them in September.

Another notch on the 'how's the program actually doing?' board of that season.

Listening to CW and Blum's Sunday pod.....I think the fan base is tired of playing in this bowl and getting snubbed for opponents every time.

We have played Tulsa and now Memphis twice. Yes, I would rather play a Kentucky or an Auburn or Texas A&M.

Plus I was at the Liberty Bowl in 2017 and while the win was fun, we have been so unlucky with weather down there and Liberty Bowl Stadium is a dump.

I get your point about opponents, that’s the big downside here.

But I keep hearing the “the stadium is a dump” line for why this isn’t a good bowl game for ISU. Who cares what the stadium is like…that Memphis/ISU matchup in the dump of a stadium was a top 10-20 fun experience for me and I’ve attended well over 150 Iowa State football games. Conversely, the UNLV stadium was amazing but that didn’t contribute to making it a top ISU game to watch in person.

Bowl games and games like at UNLV are fun because of the total fan experience and not the quality of the stadium, or even the opponent at times.

My guess is that many people that are vocally complaining 1) haven’t been there before and 2) have no intent on going.

I didn’t go but for some reason i remember our Shreveport fg game being like record cold too?
