Also, per the Matt Maiocco pod (highly recommend for those unaware) it sounds like the injury to Ward is not serious and he maybe could have played if they absolutely needed him to yesterday.
Being a lifelong 9er fan, with Rice at the top of the top for my list of players, I would have lost my **** in his position right there. He didn't even smile as he turned around, just went back to his business with an even keel. Big big part of why he's been able to be so successful.
I am completely shocked by what he has done so far. Good on him.
Some of throws he is making are totally mind boggling. He is playing better than any QBs in the league. I still don’t understand why most fans think Burrow is so much better than Purdy.
This might be the best story in NFL history.
All's I can say is, that there is one hellatiously good system they got there in San Francisco.
