Hamlin makes some sense as the leader.

But in the NFL's mind Brock don't even get a day off for major elbow surgery, just because he hurt it in the title game. Tough crowd.
The Comeback Player of the Year list is :

Hamlin -700
Lamar 12-1
Tua 12-1
Stafford 12-1

Then

Russell Wilson
Joe Flacco
Baker Mayfield
Aaron Rodgers
Kyler Murray
Cooper Kupp
Gardner Minshew

Where’s Purdy? lol

I mean he almost died...

There's a meme going around that depicts climbing out of a valley being equal to reaching a mountain top. Of course I can't find it now.

Anyway, Hamlin's "comeback" is from literally being dead. Where as these others is from relatively insignificant injury.

Coming back from the dead to be on a football field is a lot more impressive than rehabbing from an injury.
i get it..

but.. still

it should matter at least a bit that you actually have to play.

Throw in the fact that Brock wasn't carted off he field, or suffered some major visible injury, and there being no games after the loss, it's easy for Purdy to get overlooked.

That said Hamlin gets the award just for having the cajones to step out onto an NFL field after what happened to him last year. Yeah, he hasn't played that many snaps (that I can tell), but who gives a ****. I think about 99.5% of the population would have never stepped foot on a field again.

I finally saw the highlights of the game. There's at least 4 "MVP" type plays in there that are just sick.

1) short out to Aiyuk (would have been a pick 6 for most QBs if they even dared to try it)
2) improv play to Juice (play he got hurt on)
3) touch pass to Kittle (~ 3:55)
4) pylon throw TD to Samuel

Game manger, pfft. Yeah, that take is near absolute zero.

I think the TD to CMC where CMC is wide open isn't getting enough run. The result doesn't look great because it looks like Purdy overthrows a wide open player, but if you watch the play from different angles when Purdy throws it CMC has his back to him and is sprinting towards the endzone. Right after Purdy let's it go CMC stops and turns around and has to backpedal to make the catch. It's not really either players fault since they are both improvising on the scramble drill at that point, but Purdy's ability to avoid the rush and make a play with his legs is what makes that play happen. CMCs defender let's him go to pursue Purdy.

And I don't believe the NFL has style points

It really should be Brock. If they beat the Ravens next weekend it will be difficult for them. They will run out of excuses at that point.
They will need to beat them convincingly, with Brock having an excellent game on a national single focus stage.
…and than wear his hat backwards on a post game interview.

He already won very convincingly vs the Cowboys and Eagles. 4 TD's and 0 interceptions in each of those games respectively. But the media and other fan bases pretend like it never happened. So weird.

Dak is having a career year becuase they are playing the softest schedule of any team in the NFL this year. They've played 3 games so far out of 13 against playoff teams and they are 1-2 in those games.
Dallas also has a massive fanbase and the NFL knows that = $$$. “America’s Team” and its QB will always be hyped up and talked about by media sports pundits because views, listeners, and clicks go right to the bottom line.
