What cannot happen is to immediately give up another long TD score. Need a stop asap ... if not a 3-and-out, at least keep yards minimal and maybe flip the field a little.

Go quarters coverage and stop the predictable blitzes. ISU can still win this if the defense pulls their heads out.

Personally, I just don't care about a bowl game against Memphis in Memphis. Would it be nice to win: sure. Are the extra practices nice for setting up next year: sure. Is the result meaningful? Not to me.

Then again, I haven't watched any post season cfb this year. It feels kind of meaningless with all the players sitting out.

It’s bad though for recruiting to get destroyed by Memphis. Otherwise, I don’t care a ton either.

Honestly, with a few exceptions, that is the history of ISU football every year. Especially the OL.

KSU somehow manages to have a decent offensive line consistently, how do they perform such a miracle with similar resources?

Our snow game was a mirage, we had the player with the most wiggle on a day where that was all that mattered. Now that the defensive line can stand up straight it’s right back to zero running room.

It’s why anyone earlier barking about us establishing the run is an idiot. Memphis is solid against the rush because they have to sell out against it. Their back end is absolutely terrible.

It’s embarrassment. This is very embarrassing for our football program. Yes, even in a factually meaningless game.

You’re the only college football game happening right now. ESPN prime on a holiday weekend Friday, during happy hour. Ya can’t get your ass handed to you by a G5 school. You just can’t. THAT is bad. THAT is very embarrassing. It ain’t panic; It’s a sad reality.

Needed that TD there. Absolutely must stop Memphis now and find some ways to unwind some of this embarrassment.
