Terry is a goner. He will survive this season and possibly next. Tyrese is gonna bail after this season. Not that he is anything more than 11 points a game on a below average Texas team. Texas has a good recruiting class coming in but they are all one and done. I bet Tyrese is Marquette bound next season or Europe

It is a bit ironic that he preaches about winning and losing with class but he whines and complains to the other team that is celebrating a win. I sure hope to never see any of the Texass players doing a horns up sign or celebrating in any way when they win since they "expect to win."
You don't have to look very far. Watch Tyrese Hunter at the 7:30 mark of their win in Manhattan last spring. As soon as the buzzer sounds he flashes double horns up at the student section.

:rolleyes:Classless.:p

Only one of them for next year is a one and done type but he has also left open the possibility of going GL route instead of going to Texas. I don't think Hunter will stick around either. And I am guessing Mitchell leaves this year for the pros. They could basically lose their entire top 7.

This is still just astounding to me. First of all, it's sports, quit taking it so seriously. Second of all, if they didn't cry about it so much it wouldn't be so much fun to do. I can't think of a single instance like this with any other school where they complain so loudly about people making fun of them.

it really re-enforces the idea that Texas has an entitlement culture

Texas was in a bit of a tough spot last year. I don't think there was any doubting Terry is a bad head coach. You could see it throughout alot of the year. But an uber-talented team got hot and it would have been hard to let him go after the success they had late. But I think it was always pretty clear he didn't have what it took to do it on his own without Beard.

I'll be curious to see how his firing goes. He is a whiner at heart. Will he go down the road of saying they didn't give him a long enough leash because he is a minority? I can't see him going quietly.

I wouldn't paint the entire state with what happens in Austin. I may of missed some examples, but it seems the Horned Frogs, Aggies, Bears, Cougars or Red Raiders could give a rats behind if you make fun of them .

He definitely seems insecure. He also seems to lack the self-awareness with trying to take credit for recruits and now this horns down thing. If he doesn't go quietly, he would really hurt his chances of getting any future coaching gigs as administrations will not want to deal with the headache.

Eh, on forums focused on college athletics I think it's fair to assume "Texas" always means UT.

Texas has a terrible history lately. They won two of the last three Big 12 tournament championships, but will probably have had four coaches in four years. They go through a lot of money.
