What I’ve been afraid of from the start of the Purdy story is that his game is all built on timing and expecting his guys to be in an exact spot at an exact time. Teams figured that out half way through this season and they do enough at the line to slow down the receivers or otherwise reroute them downfield. By then, Purdy has typically already committed to the play and throw the ball. He can get some done on the run, but his guys typically have to be much wider open in those scenarios.
