BigRob will continue to start, but with the way Ward is playing you gotta believe he will have equal minutes eventually. Especially late game.

Ward should be playing more minutes than he is. Bob is a lot better this year but he's the best suited against teams that move the ball well and cause us to rotate. He was also a poor matchup against Dickinson, but so are a lot of players. Ward was clearly the bedt neutralizer against Dickinson, yet TJ chose to take him out of thr game with a 9 point lead and defense being paramount. That's a REALLY bad decision.

I will say TJ was very wise to keep Pavs on the bench. If I was a KU fan I'd be really frustrated in that they moved without thr ball very well, passed very well, and got themselves a lot of open looks. Meanwhile our movement was stagnant and shot quality inferior. Yet it was us who made the shots. That happens throughout thr season but it sucks when it happens to your team.

I also thought thr game was officiated extremely well. By that I mean they didn't ruin the flow of the game and kept things even. The one consistent exception was Dickinson who got away with a lot of ********.

CuJu looked like he got away with a travel, at least from my view in the stands. Glad they swallowed their whistles on it.

You disagreed with TJ’s usage of Rob?

Dayton, Baylor, Auburn, and Oklahoma ranked higher than ISU and all catch losses.

What’s this teams realistic ranking come Monday?

He's always ******** that Ward should get more of Robs minutes.

Everything should just 'happen' and coaches don't have a gauge on what a player can max out with in their own capacity with their skill set, stamina, etc.

This is nothing against BRE, but Ward needs to be on the floor until fouls or fatigue require him to be carried off. He's a game changer and getting closer on offensive moves. He's also a much better player to have out there against teams that move the ball well and force us to rotate and switch. Rob doesn't have the athleticism to cover and Ward was also much better on Dickinson 1 on 1.

Today was probably the best KU executed it's offense. But when you shoot for **** it doesn't really matter.

Today, yes. Specifically with him putting Rob in once we got up 9. Ward was killing it, and we got back up 9 with him on the floor. Then you take him out with TWO minutes left in the game, when KU was taking advantage with Rob on the floor the entire second half? Not smart.

This isn't as much about Rob as it is about Ward and the matchup. Ward is better at guarding Dickinson than Ward and vastly superior at rotating and closing out.

I’m drunk, but is this confusing to anyone else?

How has Kansas lost to WVU and UCF? We played as well as we could play, hit more 3's than since forever, and still it came down to the last 40 seconds. I'm thinking KU must have really been up for this game, too! This had to be one of their best games this season. They hit a lot of 3's where you thought, no way that goes in.
Self loves playing in Hilton, it's a big game for them.

Wish certain CF posters would stop singling out players when things aren’t going well. We don’t beat Houston without Tre’s last 10 mins, but people were calling for him to be benched most of that game. Where would we have been today without C Jones’ 3 3s in the 2nd half. People have even said Gilbert isn’t a Big 12 level player after the OU game. If it weren’t for BRE, Ward couldn’t play at his high level because he’d be worrying about fouling out or playing too many minutes. Tre would foul out without Watson.

Agreed. This teams depth is unreal. And it's a big reason why we won today. Kansas had the strategy to get fouls late in the game and it worked. But because of our depth, no one fouled out or even picked up their 4th. All of our guys can ball out at 100% because we know there are capable backups at every position.

Much of what makes our bigs effective is that they can go 100% because neither are typically playing over 25 min. They don’t have to play too cautiously in terms of fouls, and they don’t have to conserve energy.

They are asked to do a ton defensively. Playing Ward until he has to carried off, even assuming hyperbole, would be a terrible idea.

1. Yell for him to play to ineffective exhaustion.

2. Complain when he's not in late in the game.

Sorry if already posted, but you can watch the post game interviews on the Cyclone TV app for free an hour or so after the game. I watch them on the app on Roku and I don't have a subscription. For home games they even have the opposing coaches interviews.
