Ward the best rim protector since Cato? I know McKay was pretty darn good as well. Ward is playing at an incredibly high level right now.
I like Ward's overall game better than both and I'm one who feels spoiled to have watch Cato play.
It felt like they were going to score on every possession, and for a while, they were. Then TJ got a TO, we forced them into a bad 3 and got the rebound, then Hasan with the huge block. Those 2 stops were as big as anything in getting the win.

Iowa State is currently #12 in KenPom. Im going to guess their AP ranking on Monday is #13.

Ward playing with this nasty a$$ mean streak as well. I always thought he was this quiet, soft-spoken guy. Not to say you can't be a nice kid and flip the switch between the lines. This dude is playing like he knows he is the baddest MF out there on the court though and I freaking love it!

I think it is advantageous that Ward and BRE bring such different dynamics. Ward is definitely about the big moments, but Big Rob is just a workhorse. Keeps opponents on edge
I never need to record because games are always available for replay on espn.
I only wanted to record this was strictly because first time on CBS regular season in over 20 years with the A broadcast team.

For years on end does it not seem like KU has had the following off the bench 1.) Electric shot blocker 2.) Instant offense scorer capable of dropping 20 every time out 3.) Ridiculous athlete who knows his role and grabs offensive boards which turn into critical second chance buckets and elite defensively. Well dont look now but that is our bench this year.

While winning 2 games next week would be amazing, the goal is to go 1-1 and be 6-3 next time the team plays in Hilton.
