UCF at BYU last night. BYU wins 90-88. with 3:00 left it was 75-67 so BYU scored 15 pts, UCF scored 21 pts in last 3:00. Just seems like a lot of scoring in last 3:00 BYU shot 40-46 from Free Throws.

Maybe the 46 FT's were legit, not sure, but I would be looking at that if I were the Big12 office. That's rediculous and almost laughable. I would also like to think you could score 100 points if you got 40 from the line.

If Drake wins out and loses in the MVC tourney they should get serious at-large considerations. They have more Quad 1 wins this year than their 2021 and 2023 tournament teams.

It really matters what happens around them. The Big ten, PAC and ACC are hot garbage this year. Which, you’d think would favor mid-majors. But they’ll probably put in another P6 team that has a decent record because they played in one of those hot garbage leagues and they still think that means something.

Indiana State would be in the same boat, I'd think.

72 FT attempts for the game!? The guy from Egypt with the many uncalled traveling calls against us had 4 turnovers in the box score so officiating probably better than when we played out there. But WTF!?

They are playing better than earlier in the year. Their defense before was bad. Still not great but zone has helped. Missi the center has improved.
I wasn’t sold on Baylor to start the year, and I still think this Baylor team is a step below Drew’s championship level teams of a couple years ago, but they’re starting to look like a solid 3-4 seed that can make a run. They have good guards that can get hot along with Missi getting comfortable. Gotta put it in perspective too that Baylor would probably be top 2 in most of P6 leagues

The main difference from what I've seen is that they went back to more zone. They were really bad in man to man in the games I watched prior to us playing them, and I'm not sure when they switched, but it messed with us quite a bit until we adjusted.

The opportunities for at-large bids for Drake or any other good mid-major I think always depends quite a bit on how the conference tourneys play out. Like if a bubble-team like Iowa gets hot and wins the Big 10, or someone other than Dayton wins the A10, every one of those is one less opportunity for a mid-major at-large bid.
