And we have four radio headsets with mics so we can hear the announcers AND talk to each other. And we here EVERYTHING the announcers say, even during the "dead mic" commercial breaks. Really, really BAD jokes.

Unexpected moment on vacation #1:

Walking behind this kid who's maybe 12 or so. He's singing to himself. Probably got ear buds in but I can't tell, kids got long hair. And the lyrics?

And even if I could, it'd all be gray
But your picture on my wall
It reminds me that it's not so bad
It's not so bad

A pre-teen singing a somewhat offbeat Dido song from 1998 is NOT what I expected to hear a kid in 2024 singing. Kid's either very cool or very weird.

Honestly that is probably directly from his parents taste. The 1998 10 year olds have 12 year olds.

Leads to unexpected vacation moment #2:

Was in the resort gym doing old man lifting of the weights. Rolling Stones Satisfaction came on the gym sound system, the original and not a dance remix or sampling something. I paused for a moment and thought, man, that song's 59 years old and you listened to that when you were 13.

I'm just hitting that weird spot of songs I liked as an 8 year old are getting play on oldies station. Then I think to myself these songs are 30+ years old and oldies stations in 2000s were playing 70s music.

And they had a single out this year that quite frankly wasn't terrible.

7 decades is quite a stretch. And apparently Keith Richards lived through it all.

Been trying to go through some of my specialist things to see if they are still here because while I'd like to think I stopped her in time she probably got something. It dawned on me tonight that I didn't think I'd seen my 32 mbb jersey with Rulzzz on the back from the cf pickup crew and other CF peeps.

In my searching so far I haven't found it and in the bag outside I kept her from taking it had a ISU football jersey in it.

Side note the ***** actually showed up at her mom's house (on Saturday afternoon) in the vehicle she was using so my mom ran out and got a picture of it with plate so cops have that now.

Just pulled the trigger on a Bosch dish washer. I've never heard anyone say anything bad about one, but now that I pulled the trigger, I'm sure I'm about to find out how they are the biggest POS dishwashers made. :)

I've had one for several years, since we added on to our kitchen, probably around 2008 (don't remember.) For the most part I'm OK with it and it's never broken, stopped, leaked or had any issues. However, the top rack was really not built for cups/glasses and bowls, to tilt enough to stay upright and not collect water in the bottom (facing up.) It's the reason I say I will not buy another dishwasher of any brand without making sure my dishes and glasses fit the way I want them to. Meaning I will take various glasses, bowls, etc. with me to try out in the store.
