WRONG , a victory when you are playing badly is the perfect time to freak out and throw your guys under the bus....

Am I doin' this right?
We aren't playing badly. It's Big 12 basketball, that's how the games go. We've played a top 20 defense 3 out of the last 4 games, offenses won't look as good against that kind of competition.

We don't get to play a bunch of Quad 3 and 4 games like the ACC.

I think that’s kind of what people are saying, this team while very good, doesn’t have the best player in the country to fall back on.

No, people are saying the team is broken and doesn't close games and they should find a true PG in the portal that have beaten other good teams and they should never lose to NIT level teams on the road that have beaten or been competitive with other good teams.

Watched on delay and didn't read any of the game thread until this page. That was one tough-ass game and the tougher team won. Holding UCF scoreless for the final 5 minutes until 2 meaningless FTs was an incredible defensive effort.
This team is going punish BYU.

I don't think the team is broken, but I do think the team is in a bit of a slump offensively, and not just entirely because of the level of our competition that they're going to need to pull out of to win the next 2 games or go on a deep run

What happened with the three-pointer that was taken from us? I missed that part.

Does it belong in the annals with the Phantom 3 in Adidas Fieldhouse between Jared Homan's free throws?
BRE was called for an illegal screen.

This one checked all the boxes:
-team is broken.
-bench everyone.
-hit the portal for an actual point guard.
-at this rate the team might lose in the first round.
-what is wrong with __________ who's making late plays to win?
I'm bummed I wasn't in here during the game

UCF is top 10 in defensive efficiency.
OU is pretty high as well.

Given the offensive output of TJ's first 2 teams, even with the slump they are an offensive juggernaut:)

This team knows how to win. Really impressive. People wringing their hands need to get over it. These guys are gamers when the game is on the line. They have shown it over and over and over again.

Just a reminder. Last years national champs lost 4 of 5 in late Jan-early Feb. Every single team in America will go through a lull at some point. Just depends on when it happens and if you can get out of it.

We are going through it right now and winning despite it. This is a phenomenal team we have and if they can rebound from the offensive lull we are currrentky in, we can make a run we have never seen in our lifetimes.

In those early Big 12 years Baylor was like a "worst in the nation" kind of major program and Tech was usually pretty bad too.

The Big 12 in its early years was often top heavy. This last decade it's had depth like no conference I've ever seen. It's not normal for 70-80% of a conference to be good teams, but it has been normal for the Big 12 for a long time now.
Tech did have a sweet 16 in 1996 I think.

Do you call this a lull? What do people expect? Are we supposed to blow every team out by 20 points or it's a dissapointment? This is the best conference in the country. It's rarely going to be easy.
