I still think TCU is a dangerous team and that they can beat A LOT of teams.

TCU and OU are the victims of “somebody has to lose when every team is good”.

Texas I think actually is just soft, KSU is whatever worse than soft is. BYU has held up to the test and it’s ridiculous they dropped out of human rankings.

I forgot about UT, who has done worse vs expectations, but they were picked 5th preseason and with their returning talent, they were expected to better than they are. Still good, don't get me wrong, as this conference will do that to you.
Totally agree. Wasn't trying to 'prove you wrong' I just agree that this conference is a ******* mess and it's hard to say anyone underperformed because it's just hard as hell to win any game.

Truth? It's Kansas. They are gonna end up with 8 league losses. How are they not the team that underperformed?

We have 2 tough games coming up. Seems to me if we go 2-0, we’re a lock for Omaha. Pick up an L and we likely end up in Brooklyn. Might take a KU win at Houston to knock us out even if we lose to byu or ksu.

But it's not just how we do that determines Omaha...it matters just as much how Baylor does. How KU does. How Marquette does. So even if we lose one next week it doesn't mean we are Brooklyn bound. So many variables.

ISU should be ranked 6th come Monday? Or do we not talk about fight club.

KU should drop out of the top 10. Marquette could drop but who knows how far the pollsters drop them

And with NC and Duke right behind us and both winning their games comfortably, never underestimate the media's ability to prop those two up (especially NC since they were only like 20 points behind us last week).

Wouldnt surprise me if its something like:

Ya, I could see that, I did not look that closely, and our wins haven't been "impressive". I've been impressed but average score watcher might not be.

So I think the Big 12 in the tournament will be more like SEC football. I actually don’t think the league is quite as good as we think. And before the torch and pitchforks, I am not saying we aren’t the best league because we are. But I do think we are more top-heavy then most want to admit.

Houston, us and Baylor are Final Four caliber. KU is so hard to predict so they are a wild card.

But I think TCU, Tech, OU and Texas all lose their opening game. And BYU I don’t think makes it out of the first weekend either just because I never trust jump shooting teams in those dead neutral environments.

But in the end if a Big 12 team cuts down the nets or we get say a Final Four and two Elite 8’s then the hype is still justified.

It’s very unlikely we go to Brooklyn. Pittsburgh is probably the furthest they’ll send us

Also, our games were both on ESPN+ and theirs were both on ESPN.

Not sure if that's an advantage or a disadvantage. The final scores look more comfortable than the games actually were so people who just see the final score may think those were fairly comfortable wins. But being on ESPN+ vs espn, it might just make people not think of those at all.

Watching houston tonight, i'm worried they're going to come into the ncaa tournament so banged up they'll have an earlier exit and it'll be held against the big 12.

Could happen. It is the tournament. I think they will be fine, and I would be very shocked to see them not get out of the first weekend. But crazier things have happened.

Baylor is the intriguing one to me. They are not getting talked about enough imo.

Baylor is painfully close to having won the league.

Their 6 conference losses include:
3 OT losses (one in 3OT)
Tied with :05 @ texas
A missed 3 pointer to send it to OT @ KU

Sorry but comments like these are just comical to me. You're not saying they COULD lose their opening game. You're saying, without even knowing seed or opponent, that they're going to lose. That literally makes NO SENSE.

Anybody could lose their opening game. And yes that’s what I am predicting regardless of who they play. It’s called a prediction. What’s yours smartass?

Mixed feelings on Marquette. They’re missing players and lose at good Creighton team. Could make an argument they shouldn’t slide much. Of course we lose at #1 Houston and slide two spots so one could argue that they should too.
