Rural Kwik Stars are really fast. Especially when compared to their Casey's counterparts.

For sure. Casey's has gotten awful. Half of the problem with Casey's is the clientele though too. Always gotta wait for the guy with a pile of scratchers.

Maverik isn't better than Quik Trip. Maybe the DM ones (which they haven't put a lot of effort into) but not the newer ones. Though I will say I do like the self check out feature the newer Maveriks have. Makes sense in the evening when it's slower (so long as theft isn't an issue).

Ironically many of the Maveriks in SLC, their home base, are run down and trashy. Reminds me of a Circle K store when going in.
My personal opinion, but disagree. I lived down in KC for a few years so I am fully aware of what the newer generation QTs are like. Maverick is better in both quality of food and cleanliness.

I'm not wild about QT's food but I'm also not the kind of person who chooses to get food at gas stations. That's a non-factor for me but realize it is for a lot of people.

The old Maverick's are mangy as **** whereas the old QT's aren't so bad. I like the new Maverik stores and wouldn't say they are any more or less cleanly than QT. It's the speed with which QT's move mass volumes of people that really separate them from the competiton. They have that down in spades.

Supposedly we're supposed to get a Buc-ees down here at some point (they are expanding...there is one going out near Loveland on the front Range and they are putting one near Springfield MO as well as looking at land around STL and KC). Buc-ees, especially their bathrooms, are probably the cleanest stores I've ever seen. They put almost any public restroom I've ever seen to shame.

Those guys go to Kwik Star too, and as soon as they see them coming someone magically appears to open another line.

The WDM 22nd ST QT blows every other gas station that I've been to in the DM metro out of the water for speed. Their entire setup just works better. Don't really have a KS that I frequent to compare it to, but they have usually be relatively quick the few times I've been at one that was busy. K&G's are next for speed, but Casey's is the absolute worst.
I feel like Casey's is intentionally trying to waste your time.

Buc-ees are amazing. I was blown away by how large they are

The one that’s now fully-legal in 25 states and legal for medical usage in another 14 states? Long overdue.
Exactly. I was arrested 3 times because I didn't agree with that law so I smoked wherever and whenever I wanted to. Of course they would legalize it after I stopped smoking haha.

One time I was arrested for a bag of seeds and stems that I didn't know I had on me because I had borrowed a jacket from a friend and didn't know it was there. They didn't read me my rights so the charges were dropped.

Another time my dumb friend gave the cops permission to search his car, knowing my stash was in there. After all the things I taught that kid about dealing with police, geez.

Smoke it up!

Why trading individual stocks is hard...

Anyone who has walked into a Casey over the past couple of years has seen the decline and would think the enterprise value has fallen. Yet their stock is significantly outperforming the index.

Because their pizza (after sitting in their warmer for 25 minutes) is still awesome

Hmm..retiring and soon-to-be ex-wife becomes CEO? Heard there is a little more to the story. I think the thread title fit. Someone got caught doing something/one.

Yeah, something clearly happened there.

I love Casey’s and BP but that is all you get in a small town. One of the checkers at Casey’s always comes out to pet my dog and give him a milk bone while we are at the gas pumps.
