Still think head to head matters here and will win out in the end.If anyone listened to floradio today they said that a wrestler can only be argued and moved around in their quadrant. Meaning they have a floor and a ceiling but there is a common sense rational that takes into account previous results. I still believe there is a great argument that David can and will be the 3 seed. They also said losses don’t matter as much as quality wins of which I already pointed out that David has a lot of them compared to Ramirez and the rest of the field (the field also matters).
David's quality wins: Izzak Olejnik, Peyton Hall x2, Dean Hamiti, Michael Caliendo, Cam Amine
Quality losses: O'toole and Ramirez.
Ramirez Quality wins: David Carr
Quality losses: O'toole and Izzak Olejnik.
There is a set criteria. Head to head is just 1 small part of it.Still think head to head matters here and will win out in the end.
Yeah I get that and he very well might get the 3, just feels like the 4 when everyone says the Matrix is close and he has H2H.There is a set criteria. Head to head is just 1 small part of it.
I think if Matrix is close enough and committee has a say, they’ll do the right thing and make sure Carr/Otoole are separated.Yeah I get that and he very well might get the 3, just feels like the 4 when everyone says the Matrix is close and he has H2H.
125 - 16, 133 - 9, 141 - 6, 149 - 11Who’s NOT going to get a single digit seed? MJ, Feldkamp, and Kysen and Chittum? Where will they put Cody?
I am similar to you, but would flip flop 125 and 184.125 - 16, 133 - 9, 141 - 6, 149 - 11
157 - 12, 165 - 3, 174 - 15, 184 - 22, Hwt - 1
My predictions
Where do you put Olejnik then? He beat Ramirez.Still think head to head matters here and will win out in the end.
Not a bad point.Where do you put Olejnik then? He beat Ramirez.
Kysen has a couple decent wins to his resume with the Poulin, SDSU, WV, and Barnett. Feldkamp has Munoz, Wolf, and Wisconsin kid. He might slide a little higher than 22 but he took a lot of L’s at the endI am similar to you, but would flip flop 125 and 184.
This is where MFF should come into play, and I’m trying to not let bias sneak in here.Yeah I get that and he very well might get the 3, just feels like the 4 when everyone says the Matrix is close and he has H2H.
I guess I don’t punish him too bad for losses to Keck, Plott, Wolf and Mizzou kid. No “bad” losses.Kysen has a couple decent wins to his resume with the Poulin, SDSU, WV, and Barnett. Feldkamp has Munoz, Wolf, and Wisconsin kid. He might slide a little higher than 22 but he took a lot of L’s at the end
It’ll be interesting because coaches rankings and RPI matter a lot and we don’t have those data points. They haven’t been released. But good wins tend to outweigh bad loses in the formula and those bad loses might not hurt Kysen as much as a couple good wins. Great thing is - we will find out soon!I guess I don’t punish him too bad for losses to Keck, Plott, Wolf and Mizzou kid. No “bad” losses.
Kysens losses to Sandoval, Greg D and Anderson will hurt.
Not arguing, genuinely curious. Explain the rationale there at 49.125 - 16, 133 - 9, 141 - 6, 149 - 11
157 - 12, 165 - 3, 174 - 15, 184 - 22, Hwt - 1
My predictions
Carr is going to have to beat Mess and KOT to win it all but I really hope he gets Mess in the semis. I think he works him over. That being said I’m with you I think unfortunately he gets the 4.Not a bad point.
I think it goes like this.
1. KOT
2. Mesenbrink
3. Ramirez
4. Carr
5. Hamiti
6/7/8 will be a combination of Olejnik, Caliendo and Hall, maybe even in that order.
Win over Watters WV helps. He wrestled Michigan Iowa and Oklahoma state back ups beat Abas and Zargo. Lost to Parco D’emilio and Jordan Williams. Beat Oklahoma twice. I think he will be in the 10-13 range. You think too high or too low?Not arguing, genuinely curious. Explain the rationale there at 49.
Is this the correct matrix below?
Head-to-Head (25%): Ramirez
--Quality Wins (20%): David - this one I’m not sure but just my best guess
--Coaches Ranking (15%): David
--Common Opponents (10%): David
--RPI (10%): David
--Qualifying Event Placement (10%): Ramirez
--Win % (10%): David
If this is correct, I have Ramirez at 35 to David’s 65.
