I enjoyed seeing Omaha put in some quality minutes. Hopefully he can keep improving and see the floor more. Can always use a 6'8'' frame.
He will play just as many minutes tonight. And I assume also play some next Thursday.

Still can't hit a 3 to save a bag full of puppies. Hopefully that starts to move towards middle of the season form.

Hopefully Milan sees one go in tonight. That will go a long way.

That being said, I do like that his fadeaway 2 has become such a weapon. Damn near impossible to guard.

Less worried about CuJo and the others wrt 3 pt shooting.

Nobody was looking to shoot them except CuJo and I don't think he got one yesterday. King had a few opportunities but passed them up. I liked seeing Omaha shoot one confidently even though he missed.

UAB. Just saying…
We went to the elite eight after a tournament championship. The following year we lost and had extended rest and we all know how that ended.

Sat-thurs/Friday is plenty of time to rest up. The whole, extended rest is just a cope by fanbases that can’t win tournament championships.

Don’t get me wrong march madness is more important but since 1993 every national champion has made it to their conference semis. I’m sure a fair share win their conference tournament as well. I would personally like to bring home the natty and conference championship in the same season.

It doesn’t seem like there’s as much correlation as fans want to believe. It’s absolutely a cope/excuse making.

Like you said, made the E8 in 2000 after a tournament run. 2001 loses to Hampton after losing o Baylor, giving them plenty of time to “rest up.”

Even with Fred’s teams, 2014 goes to the Sweet 16 after a tournament win, even with Niang out. 2015 flames out after KC.

My only fear is getting beat up in a physical game against Houston, but a win over them would be a massive confidence boost heading into next week. And I trust Otz to keep the guys grounded instead of getting big headed like what (presumably) happened in 2015.

I've thought about that physical game. I think playing a 15 seed, and generally playing non-Big 12 teams would alleviate a lot of that effect.

Which is why I'm glad we're on the 2/3 seed line.

I trust our defense to overwhelm a mid major, then the second round opponent may be better, but they only have a day to prepare for you.
