Tom Crean is on SportsCenter right now and he's advocating ISU as the 4th #1 - and not because of what we did this week, but because of what we did this year.

Our resume shows it pretty clearly for me.

The only reason not to is to massively overvalue NCSOS, which is a terrible and bugged metric anyway.

Would be nice to get a one seed but would be perfectly happy with a 2 seed in the Midwest. Would rather play Purdue than UNC and would see a lot more crowd support in Detroit than in LA.

Oregon stealing another bid. This feels like the most bid stealers I've ever seen. The bubble that seemed pretty soft early this week suddenly got a lot more difficult
Is Nebraska anywhere near bubble now?

Part of me likes Fred but a bigger part of me likes how they are objectively the dead last worst major conference team to have never won a game.

I tend to agree. I almost like the idea of sending both us and UNC out West as "co-1s" and, if the cards play out, we fight it out for the Final Four bid.
If we play UNC on a short turnaround to go to the final four I like our odds of catching them off guard and th not being able to handle our pressure

Except Purdue has known they were going there for 2 months. Lots more tickets available in LA

But if it’s co-1s, why in the world is UNC the 1? Send UNC out west as a #2 and tell them they are a Co.-1

It's an "either-or" IMO - it's gonna be either us or UNC. The problem is I don't know what the committee is thinking; I only get to hear what the idiot talking heads think - and right now we're in play for the 1 but it's leaning more towards 2.

no they are solidly a 7/8 seed, could end up in omaha with the right top end team.

I think Iowa State jumps to the #5 overall and gets shipped West as the 2 seed to Carolina's #4/1 seed. Basically a co-1 seed situation.

That's actually the dream scenario for playing the 3rd weekend.

As long as we aren’t 1 in west but with AZ as the 2 in the west, that’d be a situation where we aren’t actually the higher seed and give me #2 in midwest.

Is that even possible?

It’s hard for me to even think straight about 2 games in Omaha and then possibly playing in LA 10 miles from where I live as a 1 or 2 seed. I
