But it will still be a like a home game for ISU. Drake and SDSU won’t have many fans there.

I think the team will be fine but from the couch I hate the optics of the ties to ISU whether it's TJ's former school or Drake from down the road.
It’s pretty obvious they try to make “some” storylines. I mean putting Nebby/A&M in the 8/9 5 days after Trev Albert’s left.
It really seems like the top 16 or 20 teams are basically seeded at the end of the season. Conference tournaments don’t mean much for the top seeds
Houston is the overall 2 seed, I don’t think the conference tournaments even mattered. It was locked in. Why even have conference tournaments.

Exactly. There is no other reasonable explanation. If they said we were 5 overall then it would seem they factored it in, but the 8 makes it totally obvious.
So teams like Indiana State can lose a single game in it and be left out
