That really didn't happen in the two match ups though; they went cold from three with some good looks and ISU had to scrape by to have a chance.
Oh I agree. I like our matchups to the elite 8. I think they easily make it to the second weekend, especially with the games in Omaha. The Illinois game will be interesting, but I like a great defense over a great offense. Can’t complain about anything after the sweet 16 round
The chairman himself said ISU was the 8th ranked team in the seeding process. Now how in the hell with what we did this year is this team really the 8th ranked team? Oh, their non conference schedule was weak, but we still ended up with a SOS of 8 overall. How can you not say we were not screwed.
Did you watch either of our games vs BYU?
We got boat raced at BYU and our game in Ames was our toughest home game.
Agree, Tominaga is a great player and story, but he is built about same as Pav. Shead may tear him in half.

Dude, you are too smart to not understand the point of playing a game that flukes happen, especially when motivation is a huge component. This bracket is the hardest and it's not even close. I still feel my team will win, but they did us no favors after a GREAT season.
On one hand, considering how little the committee thought of us, I guess we should feel lucky we got Omaha. We were probably close to not getting it.
Give me Illinois all day over playing BYU again. The Cougs can move the ball, and are a much better matchup against us than what I saw in that Ill / Wi game.

I mean, we have road maps and airports. We'll just skip some trailer payments if we have to.
I know BYU scares a lot of folk around here, and a bit of me is still scared of them. Although we all saw it with our own eyes that 'we' (ISU) figured them out, specifically on how to defend them with about 10min left in the 2nd half last game.
In other words I still don't like it, but personally not as scared as many.

Are you really worried about beating BYu in the tournament in a nutural site? I mean seriously? If you worried about BYU then just stop, your team is awesome and has the potential to make a final 4, BYU is a speed bump
I really like out Sweet 16 draw. WSU and Drake are weak 7 and 10 seeds. Also I’m not scared of Illinois, I’d rather face them than BYU. All in all a good path to the Eiite 8. Let’s go!
