R-e-l-a-x The portal has been open a week and there is 900 players looking for spots.

The staff is recruiting both Hadley and Heise. Not a one or other situation.
No decisions will be made in RS Pierce or Nojus until the fall.
Nojus will not be redshirting next year. He will get some nice minutes for a true freshman. Maybe not Milan type minutes, but he will play

No such thing as a prospect anymore. I guess Watson is the closest thing to a project on our team. Otherwise, a project is now another word for "this guy is transfering to a mid major"
There is probably some truth to this. If you want to be perennially on the top end of the high majors, you maybe sign 2-3 high school kids each year assuming at least 1 of them will be good enough to immediately compete for a rotation spot. If they aren't good enough for rotation minutes, they are encouraged to transfer down and you replace their scholarship with a transfer. Rinse and repeat.

There are 120 minutes a game to be had at 1-3 spots.

Tamin, Curtis, and Keshon should be around 90 of this. Maybe more. Milan - even if he plays some at the 4 - is going to get some of these minutes. One has to assume TJ lead Heise to believe he’s going to see minutes if he is coming here.

It doesn’t add up.

This is basically guaranteeing Nojus and Pierce both red shirt. And that Milan is playing heavy minutes at the 4.
120 minutes?! You know each game is only 40 clock minutes, right? Or are you saying games typically last 2ish hours?

For whatever reason some of our fans have little patience with MM. he was so much better as an all around player than I thought that I’m fine with the inconsistent offensive production and nearly positive it’ll get more consistent. My hope for him has always been 3 years with his third year being so good he’s a high pick.
It's a lot of pressure to have on a freshman's shoulders to expect to come in and be consistent in a high major program and be a starter in the best conference. I thought he handled it well and when Chris said he got Niang vibes with the post game interview, I did too.

We already have Jackson committed and are having an in-home visit with William Kyle this week. Are you saying that we need more than 2 bigs?
Kyle seems to be the only "big" guy we're really involved with (at least from what I've heard). If we land a big (I'm kind of meh on Kyle and think there's better guys we could get) and Rock is ready to contribute 10+ minutes a game then I think we're in decent shape with Jackson, big man, Rock. I just haven't heard anything other than Kyle and he looks like a Nebraska lean at the moment.

Hopefully Kyle commits given the other prospects. Gives us a true 4 that can play the 5. Allows Mom to stay on the wing. Watson can back up 3/4. Also allows the pipe dream I have of JT playing the 4 some.

No, it’s that some fans can’t read

IF we add those transfers, this past season’s Milan won’t be playing 30 min/gm, and isn’t a lock to start

That’s not proclaiming he won’t improve and fend off the addition of 4 high level transfers (plus Rock and Nojus) to maintain his minutes

It’s very unlikely if we add those 4 transfers, the minutes of the returning players don’t go down.

I want to agree with you, but the way the news is shaking out about us basically being involved with guards a ton and no news on transfer big men, it seems like we're going to have Momcilovic be the 4. Jackson is the only big man we have that's starter material unless Rock is ready to go.
According to info on Fanatic we have contacted:
Joshua Jefferson 6’8” st Mary’s
William Kyle 6’9” SDS ( visit this week )
Pharrel Payne 6’9” Minnesota
Eric Dailey 6’8” Okie State.

Nobody here knows our level of interest, except for the Kyle visit.
Again - it appears to me we are after a big guard/wing and a traditional 4. Makes total sense to me.

Fair enough. I think we're just making more headway with the guards we're in contact with, making it seem like we're chasing guards harder than big men. Which one of those four would you be most pleased with?

I could be wrong, but I'm envisioning Kyle splitting C minutes with Jackson in the same vein as BRE/Ward. The Tre King 5 minutes being filled by Rock. Would guess the 4 minutes would be split by Milan/Watson/Hadley if we land him.

I'm not sure how that guy isn't exactly William Kyle from SDSU, who we are meeting with this week

I’d be thrilled with landing Kyle, but perhaps their thought is playing Kyle and Jackson together isn’t ideal

Dailey would be a guy that can play the 4 with Jackson

Keep in mind big men are more sought after and command higher NIL in general. It may be that Kyle is the only one who's reciprocated interest. It may be the staff is all in thinking Kyle is their guy

I have never seen any of them play other than Kyle. Based upon what I read give me Payne - BUT- highly uniformed opinion.
Kyle was the Summit league DPOY.

5 was the obvious top priority - already secured. I suspect they are going after the guard and 4 spot equally hard.
It has long been rumored Heise to ISU. That and proximity may be making that more rapid. Hadley appears to be a two horse race and it seems he intends to decide soon.

Has anyone heard any rumblings other than ISU making initial contact with Eric Dailey Jr from Okie State? He would be an absolute home run of a transfer if we could land him. He would likely come off the bench but be able to get tons of minutes if we are going to start three guards, Momcilovic, and Jackson. Figure if he's coming off the bench in 24-25 then in 25-26 he's likely able to start if he shows he's a good player and the roster opening up more.
Eric Dailey Jr would start and play 30 minutes plus a game

I'm a fan of Dailey but think 30 minutes isn't easy when you already have Dishon in the mix (I think he might be a more complete guy right now than Dailey, but I'm no expert) and possibly Rock ready to make some noise. If Dailey came in he seems like he'd be in the 22-27 minute range, which isn't bad at all.
