Well, a fair few guys are staying hot but unfortunately Morel is the guy coming to the plate when they get on.

It cannot be overstated how unserious this team is having Morel as an every day 3rd basemen. It was never, ever going to work.

I was watching one when Len Kasper advocated for giving a team 5 games a year where they can just call it at any point. Makes total sense instead of trotting out your left fielder to pitch.
Agree but I'm sure the fans would get mad and sue saying " I paid for 9 innings!".

This team is such a waste of time to watch. 3 daily players hitting below .200 and another just over .200 is inexcusable. I don't see why the don't play some more young talent by calling up some from the minors. It can't get a whole lot worse at this point.

I guess I keep watching just to see how bad it gets, It's like watching a train wreck at this point, just can't look away.

They just don’t have enough “real” MLB players… Need quite a few before next year, because they ain’t winning anything this season

Hopefully they sell whatever they can at the deadline, DFA any guys you can't find a trade for that isn't worth keeping for next season and do a full out youth movement to finish the season. Not only see if any of these guys can contribute but give some of them a head start with the adjustments to big league pitching going into next season. Can't tell me there is not at least 1 guy at Iowa right now that could bat over .200 if we played them nearly every day.

What lineups have 4 30 HR guys? And how exactly to propose acquiring them?
You just have to ask yourself what positions are most likely to have power (1B, 3B, LF, and RF) and look at how serious Jed has treated those positions during his reign of terror to know the odds of that happening here are slim.

As **** as this team is, I absolutely believe the (potential) tools are in place to be a WS contender in 2025 if you have the right person running things. That means

1) Freeing up as much financial space as possible this trade deadline
2) Using this trade deadline to build your 2025 team
3) Buy a MLB SP and trade for a MLB SP
4) Find a 1B and 3B and let Shaw/Busch be floaters.
