Ok, very odd conversation and will try to use innuendos for obvious reasons.

Ok, at what age have you had "the talk" with your kids? What level of detail did you get into? Obviously there is the whole 1+1 can make a 3rd component... but do/did you talk about the "natural happenings, feelings, urges, and um... overnight or taking matters into your own hands" part too?

We had the 1+1=3 discussion a ways back but this past weekend I went into the "other" area mentioned above - talk about ******* awkward. I figured it was necessary due to the anxiety, depression, etc issues my spawns inherited and wanting them to know it's natural and ok. Did you do that part or not?

due to my upbringing I got like.............no info, super great lol.

We need to get into this more with our oldest, at least providing basic info. We at least use anatomically correct terms which felt weird at first and now it's just normal. But need to do that with the broader topic, bleh. But I have boys so I can dump this on my husband, right?

No real in depth talk. Just made sure he understood the ramifications of decisions. It also helps that he’s a nerd that hasn’t expressed any desire for a girlfriend into his Junior year.

My mom worked at Planned Parenthood for a significant portion of my childhood. There was never a formal talk. It was ongoing dialog. I always felt like I could ask questions. I don't know if the same was true for my brother, however.

I didn't get much info from my parents. Found out from friends talking about it, and then internet for follow up research etc. My parents are probably grateful to have avoided the conversation I suppose. My oldest is 3, no clue what I'll do yet when the time comes.

My son is now 19 and just finished his freshman year of college. We had a talk and I let him know it was ok for him to bring home a nice gal to meet.... and a hot friend of hers for me! I kid. I kid...

I recall when he was in the 5th grade and I picked him up from school, and he proceeded to tell me he learned how babies are made. Then he started asking questions about the night he was conceived! I was speechless for half the drive home.... I somewhat deflected the conversation into a "only adults that are married are allowed to do that" kind of a thing. I told the wife about it when she got home from work and she laughed her ass off, knowing she was able to duck the ordeal.

Told him to wait, and when he's done waiting he needs to do it safely, and that it only takes one time to end up with a little accident walking around (I didn't explicitly tell him that he was evidence of that).

My parents never had the talk with me. I learned everything I know from 80s and 90s movies.

Lol, I could literally feel the talk coming from my Dad before he even started speaking, and when he did, I just said "I know, I got it" and that was that. Spoiler alert: I didn't got it
