'The spirits dude in Johnston might be doing that on purpose. I remember asking him about the Cyclone Fanatic Cody Road back when that was being released, and he said, "Oh, it's Cyclones? Yeah, we probably won't get that here."
Somehow it seems like Ames lager is out fundraising the swarm beer. That's with much more obstacles. West O seems like a great partner.

I was in CR last weekend and found Ames Lager but didn't see the swarm which was appreciated

West O is a great partner to have for the Cardinal and Gold Collective. And the new Blood Round beer is really good.

I can confirm that there will be some sampling this weekend in Humboldt, and hopefully a couple other events, but the West O Game Watch for the ISU-West Virginia football game this fall is when Blood Round goes live and is for sale.

If you are able, please join us that day at West O Beer in Okoboji. It was a lot of fun last year and will only be bigger and better this year.

Thanks everyone for your continued backing of the Cardinal and Gold Collective, and these coaches are so appreciative for everyone that supports these athletes and this program. There is a lot of positive news surrounding this program right now.

Honestly living in NE Iowa there are a ton of Hawkeye fans and I don't know anyone that drinks it.
I would say because most of them can't afford craft beer or don't have the developed pallets for craft beer. But I see it marked down in all the Hy-Vee's, plus I'm not sure you can really call any swill put out by Exile "craft beer". So I guess I don't have an answer other than it must just be that bad.

Agree with Ryan. The Cincinnati game watch at West O was a great time last fall.

Would like to see what it looks like in a glass. Should it be served with an orange slice?

I was fortunate enough to be involved with West O through tastings and name discussions. West O had their marketing team work through multiple designs and countless names.

This CNG beer has blood orange in it and when they presented us with the name Blood Round, it was overwhelmingly the first choice for our Collective beer. As West O's marketing team explained it, we are targeting a wrestling crowd and no explanation is needed for them, and the fact that it has blood orange just makes it a great choice.

There was a very positive response to it Sunday in Madrid, and I'm expecting the same in Humboldt because it's really good.

See you all at West O Beer in Okoboji on October 12th for the unveiling.

Ryan

P.S. Lots of exciting things continue to happen for this program, these coaches just work. It's going to be a fun ride.

That why I don’t listen to this crap or even know who this Hassel guy is. But, I assume he’s some kind of alleged ISU sports fan?

The blood round at NCAAs this year alone would have been a top sports event of the year for ISU sports. If a supposed fan of ISU sports doesn’t get that then why is anyone listening?

Hassell is a Hawkeye fan (and a pretty fair one, IMO). I don't think he's familiar with wrestling. He likes to try and be funny. And he often is (again, IMO). His reaction on this was kind of annoying, but harmless.

Understood. Assumed he was an ISU fan since people on here seemed to care what his opinion was.

Any publicity is good publicity. Hopefully they send him some and he has some sort of take on it. Best way to get more exposure on it so people know about it and try it for themselves.

Have to lean into everything you can.

West 0 needs to pick it up.

At HyVee in Johnston today was a large Swarm display (which has been there for months), but I had to ask if they even carried Ames Lager.

They do. They had 4 6-packs.
There are always pallets of swarm laying around stores because no one drinks it.
