What are you trying to say here? The Big 10 didn’t want Oregon and Washington?

Then why are they in the Big 10?
They dint want them. They got them at a discount. If I go to the store I might not want a new jacket but if one that was pretty good is suddenly half off then fine I’ll take it. It’s like buying REI over Patagonia, you want the Patagonia but when the REI brand comes in at half the cost sometimes your open to adding it to the wardrobe

Also the big house is so big and open that sound doesn’t stay in. Makes the environment less intimidating for visiting teams
And the lack of bathrooms. Don't forget the bathrooms!

Spartan Stadium is much, much better. A perfect CFB Stadium IMO.
The big house doesn't have bathrooms, just a big outhouse. It's called Ann Arbor.

I'm so bad. :D

This whole “alliance” was hilarious. People immediately called out how there was nothing in writing, just a “handshake agreement between the commissioners”. Funny how as soon as the opportunity was there for the Big 12 to snag Oregon and Washington, the Big Ten gave the middle finger to their alliance and gobbled up Oregon and Washington. The Big Ten really showed their true colors through all of this.
This alliance happened before USCLA and way before ORWA. The B10 just used the P12 and ACC to get them to vote the B10’s way on the CFP.

Less than a year later the B10 was Red Weddinging the P12

It’s a play on Dave Aranda’s quote at media day. How is this a poor decision?

It’s funny and to be honest everyone is paying players!
Problem is not everyone heard Arandas comments, so the context is not there.

That being said, it's just a bad look.

IIRC, USC at least probably UCLA already knew they were leaving at the time it was formed.

So then why question the opportunity? The clock struck midnight on the Pac 12 and everyone knew it. They had a choice….try to keep the Pac alive, go to the big 12, or get a lifeline from the big 10. They got the lifeline.

Everyone would choose that one and that’s fine.

The Big10 has done more destruction to college athletics than any other conference EVER but somehow is the sweet darling with biggest media contract that has never done any harm.

I again ask, what’s the “bad” look about it?

Every. Single. School. Is. Paying. Players.

So what you are saying is they played them.

They took who they wanted first, and destabilized the conference.

Waited until ORWA was backed into a corner.

Took them at an extreme discount, to finish of the Pac12 for good.

Anyone that says the B12 was who killed the Pac is lying to themselves, The B1G is who killed it, the B12 just provided the life preserver for the sinking survivors.

LOL but Ann Arbor is a palace, compared to Americas Dump..... Detroit.

If Ann Arbor is an outhouse, Detroit is the **** pit under it.

Exactly, so why does Baylor need to advertise it? Is that the only thing they can offer to players? Just money? Sounds like a great culture.

Totally agree and obv the Big12 had nothing to do with anything regards to killing the PAC

It's like telling your wife her ass looks fat in her outfit.

It's probably true but you dont actually say it.

It's more about having a bit of tact.

It would be similar to them saying "Our players assault women" While true, its in really poor taste to say.

Man Detroit is doing pretty well lately. Ann Arbor is one of the best places to live in the US. Lansing is ******* awful

Detroit was bad before the Auto Crash, After it got even worse.

Its been a while since I have been there, but did watch a video from the last year that showed how terrible and abandoned Detroit is.

Blocks of houses, empty and falling down, then blocks of abandoned streets, run down, abandoned buildings, vacant lots. Lots full of trash. Buildings falling down on sidewalks.

Losing 2/3 of your population over the course 70 years is not the definition of doing good in my book.

What exactly is "doing pretty good" in your definition?

Don’t forget: USC nixed adding anyone from the B12 in 2021 when OUT leaked. I cannot imagine they didn’t have a pretty good idea they were headed to the B10, which happened over the summer of 2022. Sure, Cal or Stanford might have nixed it anyway, but it sure seems like USC purposefully stuck a knife in the PAC’s back.

The PAC turned down the Angry 8. Then PAC turned down a media deal, the B12 jumped the line and took it. The PAC couldn’t put a media deal on the table, and the B12 offered to take some of them in. Sure, the B12 played a role in the PAC’s demise, but it was for their own survival, and only possible because USC and the B10 are backstabbers and the PAC’s administration was incompetent.
