First AP Poll Released for 2024 season

Can't help but notice the similarities in the pre-season poll to exactly what the committee wants for the playoff spots.

Looking back at last year's Preseason and Final AP Polls:
- Eight teams ranked in the final poll were unranked in the preseason poll
- Highest preseason ranked team to fall out of the rankings #6 USC (8-5)
- Highest ranked team in final poll that was not rated Preseason #8 Mizzou (11-2)
- Three current B12 Teams Unranked in Preseason, Ranked in Final (UA, KU, OSU)
- Two current B12 Teams Ranked in Preseason, not in Final (UU, TCU)
- Final top 10 included 4 Preseason teams outside top 10 (NR, 22, 15, and 11)
- Only one Preseason Top 25 team finished with a losing record, TCU (5-7)
Actually tied with SMU at 29th! I think that's appropriate for where we are at the beginning of the season
Probably the wrong thread and probably already discussed at length but I just saw the "if the season ended today" playoff bracket and didn't realize 4 teams will play home games in late December. That could be brutal in MANY locations.

I think we're actually tied for 29th, if you go by other votes received.
The southern schools will magically have just a slightly higher seed.
