That list is disturbingly long. But I guess that is what college football is like these days.

Much more complicated now to stay at a P4 school. It looks like you have to really dedicate yourself to the program 24/7. Eat what they tell you to eat. Sleep when they tell you to sleep. Work out, practice, watch film, work out, stretch, lift, practice. Oh, and maintain your grades. When is the last time we heard of grades being a problem for anyone? No such thing as academically ineligible anymore I guess.

These players want to be paid? Yeah, well we own you from here on out and you earn your right to stay here one day at a time. I would think a lot of these guys wish things had stayed the way they were. Sure looks like it has taken away much of the fun of playing football. Maybe not, but just seems more "business" and less "game."

The one good thing I see is that we’re not losing guys to more NIL money from other P5 programs. Isheem Young may be a cautionary tale on that front — whisked away by Ole Miss then he finishes his career at North Texas. Although we probably are missing on some guys during initial recruitment due to NIL, whether HS kids or in the portal.

It's true. Squaks weren't wrong when they questioned his academics. He had to be hand held through high school at LC. Source, several friends who teach there

Too bad Howard Brown didn't work out for us - wild high school career - unique athlete
His leaving might have been tied to the gambling issues. The Boise website states that he is on suspension pending an issue (undefined by them) related to his time when he was at ISU. He played very little last year and is still on suspension apparently.

I wish all these kids the best of luck at their new schools. Curious on why the bottom of the roster kids leave. Are they pushed out or do they leave so the can actually see the field? Last thing to say, I had such high hopes for Arlen Harris when he transferred in from Stanford. I really thought he was going to see the field a lot more then he did.
