What this (and Ohio 2023) is telling me is that Iowa State should stop playing non-P4 teams that wear green.
??? It has been the playbook for years. The goal of this defense is to make the opponent go on long sustained drives. Bend but don’t break.
It’s hard to run that many plays without a penalty or a turnover or other miscue. ND has been pretty fortunate twice on tipped balls and made most of the first downs by a yard or less.

How many games does it take for this coaching staff to prepare for the season? The average is about 3. Year after year. Indecisiveness is the biggest weakness of the staff. They use the first few games of the season to decide how to handle the team. Elite teams are ready to go week one.
To be fair, if Rocco could hit an open receiver it would probably be a 14-17 pt game
