Not making excuses for defense, but at least part of this is North Dakota being EXTREMELY happy to take what we give them and absolutely nothing more.

It’s been #2 literally every year of the CMC era. The only thing that will change my mind is an absolute curb stomping of Iowa. CMC plays right into Kirky’s plan every year and let’s Iowa pull something out of that ass in the 4th quarter to steal the game. Even 2022 wasn’t impressive.
Not sure if you are being sarcastic, but during the commercial break I replayed it a couple of times. The receiver literally two hand grabbed the arm of the defender. Sure there was contact, but the receiver played that to get the PI, he had no intention of catching the pass.

Yep, we are right on track for a CMC September. Team comes out in the opener and struggles in a W. We play Iowa at their own game and lose in the margins. Then in week 3 it will all click and we will hang like 50 on Arky St. Team is then competitive in all our league games, wins 5 or 6. Finally, show up to the bowl game looking like we skipped any sort of bowl prep. On to hoops.
