Defense has looked suspect, but missing a couple of our best defenders doesnt help. Its not like we have a ton of 4 and 5 stars waiting to come in. (do we have any?)

Offense looks decent. Not overpowering but has done well.

Its the first game, remember we always start slow.

I dont think anyone here took us to beat the spread today. Which was 27-30 depending on where you look.

I miss my season tickets, cuz game day threads really are a downer.

Lots of predictions were 35-7ish types.

I’ve donated $0 to press box funds (or whatever the f*ck you’re referring to by that comment) but will happily and correctly continue to b*tch about our small time G5-ass dinky press box. And yeah, aesthetics. Don’t get me started on our cheap as sh*t looking erector set light contraptions.

Worse yet? Our overall play today. Really disappointing game overall. Some fun plays for sure, a lot of “meh” and unfortunately a lot of ugly too.

Yep, we are right on track for a CMC September. Team comes out in the opener and struggles in a W. We play Iowa at their own game and lose in the margins. Then in week 3 it will all click and we will hang like 50 on Arky St. Team is then competitive in all our league games, wins 5 or 6. Finally, show up to the bowl game looking like we skipped any sort of bowl prep. On to hoops.

Never really in doubt, so they took care of business which is vintage Matt Campbell. Bacon going out early surely had an effect on what we allowed them to do. Need him and Sama to return to good health quickly

Jumped out to an early 14-0 lead including a 2 play, 51 yard 2nd TD drive and then got trounced by NDSU exactly a decade ago.

I love how there has always been this push to speed football games up, when in the end what they really meant was, “We don’t care if the games still take 3.5 hours as long as we can squeeze 20 mor minutes of commercials in.” Why don’t they just call it what it is. The 2 minute money grab.
