@brentblum You were being overly kind regarding your description of the atmosphere for the game at UH Saturday night. It was the worst atmosphere for an ISU road game I've attended since Rice in the early 90s when Walden was still coaching. And that atmosphere really won't get much better if Fritz somehow turns it around. Classic commuter school fan base and support and it's sad state of affairs that UH got promoted to the B12 while Oregon St and Washington St get destroyed by involuntary relegation.

Listened to end of pod this morning. Not sure why the two of you get so wrapped up and mad over AP poll voting. It has no impact on final CFP ranking/seeding IMO. Completely different set of people doing the voting there who have much more time and accountability to get things right relative to actual CFP selection.

The other thing that struck me was the repeated complaint that whoever starts at the top of the poll tends to stay there.

Well…that works for everyone.

And if the season wraps up as we hope it will, and we hold onto a goodly number of returning players…guess who’s going to be in the preseason top ten next year?

I hope you’re correct but for same reasons I don’t trust the AP voters, I also don’t trust members of that committee.

I get the lack of trust from the AP voters but they're irrelevant to me. Only value they provide is hyping up TV games for the week and network selections.

I will wait on final selections from the CFP Committee for the new expanded format before passing judgement on them. I actually didn't get pissed at them for omitting FSU last season after I found out they had a previously written "out" for a significant injury impact like Travis'. Now I was pissed about the continued absurdity of the limited 4 team CFP but that obviously got fixed this season.
