I like that combo, too ... and that's what I intended to type instead of W-C-W - I revised my post.
While that would play into the “attack of the clones” I think the caption is pointing to something is coming.
I truly believe the people that didn't like the tamin photo was because of all the red he wore underneath it
I still don't understand the hate for this logo. ISU is still leaning into it. It's on the CFB25 video game.

I odds on favorite has to be the script Cyclones that the basketball team is using right? Although they have never really coordinated on their uniforms in the past.

I can only speak for myself, but I think the main issue was how low effort it looked. It looks like the most run of the mill Microsoft corp art imaginable. I think if I submitted it to my photoshop and illustrator class at ISU I would've received a lower grade for the lack of imagination. I also think there is a level of association with that Texas game where we played like poo while wearing a poop logo on our helmet.
I have heard rumors that the AD paid a pretty penny for the burgle logo from a graphic design company. While at the same time Iowa State alumni have offered to create and update the older logos for little to no cost and were effectively said no we are going a different way.
I may be wrong but I thought around that time Kagavi offered the logo below to Jaime and Iowa State and they said no.
I don't think the 5 bar logo would look as good as the main logo on a helmet. From any distance away from the players it'll just look like a square or a house shaped block. It works great how they use it now as a badge on the jersey.
I think the gold looks better with "warmer," dimmer indoor lighting than it does outdoors.
Hence why I've always loved our gold basketball uniforms...
But never felt a need for these to make a return to the gridiron...
Black script cyclones or black 2000's swirly bird would be my guess. Either one of those would be fantastic. I think since we just unveiled the new gold basketball uniforms with script, that expecting a script decal would be the safest bet.
