I believe to wear white at home both party's have to agree before the season, or the home school has to notify the other before the season. Not sure if that was done with CU, but this has been planned for a long time, so I would think those notifications were made.

Agree. I suppose both parties could agree to change / flip, on short notice, but not sure on that.

Not a fan of most of the Commanders' look I've seen so far. Of course, having your big O-Line hogs model the uni will not give the optimal look.

I've heard a rumor from some people "close to the organization" from back out East that the new ownership hates "Commanders" and is going to do away with it as soon as they can.

Redwolves or Hogs or Warthogs or Redhogs are the clubhouse leaders.

The gold pants for this year was a first move in that direction (all they could do so quickly).

I can only speak for myself, but I think the main issue was how low effort it looked. It looks like the most run of the mill Microsoft corp art imaginable. I think if I submitted it to my photoshop and illustrator class at ISU I would've received a lower grade for the lack of imagination. I also think there is a level of association with that Texas game where we played like poo while wearing a poop logo on our helmet.

I have heard rumors that the AD paid a pretty penny for the burgle logo from a graphic design company. While at the same time Iowa State alumni have offered to create and update the older logos for little to no cost and were effectively said no we are going a different way.

I may be wrong but I thought around that time Kagavi offered the logo below to Jaime and Iowa State and they said no.

I think the Modern Cyclone Logo here, was designed / modified by @amestoplease. I know he did 2-tone versions of it. I could be wrong and perhaps it was from Kagavi originally.

Both are good designers and I believe much of their designs / ideas have indeed been rebuffed by official ISU.

I assumed we'd use all-black at least once, unfortunately options are limited to have it vs. opponent without black in its standard colors (UCF, Cincinnati, Tech). Could just save it for KSU. I'd prefer using mostly cardinal vs. UCF.

I don't get these unis lol. They are the uniforms they used in the 2010s. As of a couple years ago they were using these unis. Weird to "throwback" to four years ago.
Their new uniforms and logo are more of a throwback than the "throwback" uniform.
