Nice little Sunday. We lost to Ohio and Memphis last year nothing can erase that.
Legendary bad takes tend to hang around.

I can never tell with Gunner if the snark is a schtick or if he really means it.

I suppose at some level that ambiguity as to if he's being serious or facetious or not is part of the plan. That way you can always claim the "I was right!" one when you have the benefit of hindsight.

The problem is people eventually notice the tactic and stop listening to your disingenuousness.

Reviving this thread wasn't a **** move at all.

How bout we all ******* enjoy the current state of affairs without going after each other for a change?

"My Uncle Alex, who is up in Heaven now, one of the things he found objectionable about human beings was that they so rarely noticed it when times were sweet. We could be drinking lemonade in the shade of an apple tree in the summertime, and Uncle Alex would interrupt the conversation to say, "If this isn't nice, what is?"

So I hope that you will do the same for the rest of your lives. When things are going sweetly and peacefully, please pause a moment, and then say out loud, "If this isn't nice, what is? Also, screw the Sith and the Frog."

Gunner isn't one but there's a few that you can still tell don't like the TJ hire and will look for anything to air it out on.

They never gave possible other coaches either.

Yeah it's sad that sometimes someone just can't swallow their pride and accept they were wrong. I'm one to admit that I was a strong Prohm defender during his tenure but that last season was unacceptable and a change had to be made and I was fully onboard with that. I was a tad skeptical about the TJ hire when it happened as UNLV wasn't exactly headed in the right direction at the time and it felt like we weren't exporing all our options. But I kept an open mind and gave TJ a fair shot and he won me over pretty quickly and I'm glad we hired him. When we hired Prohm at that time and with the roster we had I didn't think it was the right time to hire TJ with no head coaching experience. I have said it here before I think TJ going out and getting some experience as a head coach at 2 different schools before we brought him back we probably got a much better version of him now than we might have if we had hired him when Fred left. We'll never know and that is in the past now but I am thrilled he is our coach and can't wait to see where he takes this program.
