What is your favorite TV show that only lasted one season?

I can't say favorite but I was disappointed when Amazon canceled The Peripheral after the first season. It was really interesting.

Firefly - Didn't even get all the episodes until home video release
Manimal - Have such strong memories of this show as a kid and it only had 8 episodes.

Here's a throwback for you: Square Pegs.

I was shocked when years later I saw a hot SJP in Sex in the City as she was just a cute nerdy girl in Square Pegs. I kind of chuckled when the guy who always wore headphones and sunglasses was in that Star Trek movie as Kirk's long lost son.

It was also one of Jami Gertz' first roles.

So Firefly is the far and away correct answer. By orders of magnitude.

but just to throw in something else - Max Headroom. Technically 2 seasons, but only 14 episodes I think.

Freaks and Geeks is obviously a great one. But there was another show in the mid-80s that I loved and think has always been very underrated... It's Your Move. Starred a young Jason Bateman and David Garrison.

Bateman's character was a teenage scam artist, and Garrison's character started dating Bateman's single mom, played by Caren Kaye. Some pretty funny stuff with the kid and his mom's new boyfriend battling wits.
