Lea Nelson and Chris Williams dive into No. 11 Iowa State’s matchup with Texas Tech, what to expect from the Red Raiders, how the Cyclones can get to 8-0, and more.

Enjoy!

I agreed with most of CW’s comments regarding the comparison of Brock vs Rocco’s supporting casts—but it’s amazing to me that he continues to say that this OL group is on a par with the ‘20 bunch.

Nope. Not even when Remsburg was healthy. Just no. Not even really close.

you might be right. The regression of Simmons is one of the great mysteries of the Campbell era to me. I think the play calling is much more conducive to an average line now. So you might have a point about that group being clearly better. Up for discussion for sure.

CW, I agree with you that ISU wins and covers this week. Tech is not near the running team that UCF is, in fact, ISU has more yards per game. No one should underestimate Heacock with a bye week. I think Rocco will be lights out and the defense will be back to limiting big plays and keeping Tech out of the end zone.(not saying Tech won’t score any tds, just that they’ll score less than their yards would suggest they should have)
