We’ve been living on the edge all season and it finally caught up with us. Some dropped passes, unusual penalties, Rocco under pressure, questionable play calling, long drives that the D gave up etc. Hopefully a wake up call because every game left on the schedule is winnable. Losing the 3 starting LB’s & replacing with inexperience has had to taken an edge off the D. Glad to see Abu have success like last years K State game, maybe he’s a guy that can execute on a slick field.

Oh my god I’m glad someone else notices this too. When Noel and Higgins are on the bench it’s a run 100% of the time. It’s so obvious.

Not only that, as much as I love Carsen Hansen, when he don't have his mouth piece in (dangling from his facemask) he isn't getting the ball. Good defenders and coaches notice these things.

Also I want to add, that once again when we brought in the backup WR's it was always a running play.

Opposing DC's can see this too!!!
Just quoting for emphasis. When I see this and know it’s going to be a run, you know for sure the other team sees it too. I understand Higs and Noel need breaks, but you still have to throw out of other sets once in a while to keep them honest.

It was nowhere close. LMAO
Yep if that was “close” then they need to abolish the intentional grounding rule. It was 8 yards or so away and you could clearly tell he was just getting rid of the football due to the pressure.

I'm not sure what you're looking at, but he has his mouthpiece in I think every play he's in the back field or close to it. Only time I see him not have it in is if he's lined up out wide.

Actually the big one was when they didn’t call intentional grounding right before they scored their second TD to go up 17-13. Pereira even said they flat out missed it even though the officials chatted about it.
This is the only answer. However, our OLine was abysmal. Mediocre play from them and we win no matter the mistakes made by officials.

This loss is on the O, no one else.

4 or 5 times it wasn't in and it wasn't a running play. It's hard to miss when it's dangling there from his face mask. That's what I was looking at.

Unless I missed it I literally just went back and looked and he has his mouthpiece in I think every time he's lined up in the back field.

it may be the difference from close ups with plenty of time to snap to when it’s snapped. Dunno. Don’t care enough to look it over on replay cause that’s not gonna be any level of fun.

I'll add to that, running not with Carsen Hanson. I can't for the life of me figure out why he isn't getting more carries. He was averaging 5 yards a carry. He's a ******* work horse, RIDE HIM!!!

We were set on running long developing complicated routes while Rocco is running for his life. Just get the ball in J & J's hands and let them go to work.

ISU has an inexperienced offensive coordinator, who may not yet understand these type of nuances of the game. My question is, why isn't somebody, like the head coach, helping him to understand these things so that they don't manifest themselves during gametime and cost ISU an easily winnable ball game?

Given the past two games, it seems like defenses have figured what what ISU is up to on offense. Hopefully somebody can figure out what adjustments to make.

The hands to face on a DT that overturned an interception - OL had hands in the face of the DT also.

Catch reviewed and upheld. Clearly he bobbled the ball and trapped it against his leg after he went out of bounds. They need a larger and better monitor for the official to look at. In a close game a couple screwups like that made a difference.
ISU lost the game because they made too many mistakes. 1st and goal from the 1 foot line and come away with 3 points? That’s not winning football, and that was the difference in the game.

Tech is one of the worst defenses in the big 12/16/20 we should not have won this game, the UCF game or the iowa game. So were playing with house $$$ right now.
