Nobody will hire Matt that would be a huge step up. He’s way too inconsistent. Indiana coach will move up quick because he is not afraid to open it up and kick teams asses.

His opportunity to move up had to be pretty much torched after the 2021 season.

Other schools might have gone 'sure, he's only a 7-8 win coach, but imagine him with our talent', until our most talented team finished 7-6

It is just becoming so clear that we have peaked under CMC. We have had so many take the next step games and have blown them all. He is going to win 7 or 8 a year, but he is never taking us to the next level. I guess that is fine for ISU because we really sucked in the 80s or something.
