Curt Jones has to be one of the best all-time transfers. Up there with White, Kane, Burton.
I’m glad isu doesn’t play a top 25 team to start the year as much b******g is going on about IU-Indy. I’m glad we have 3 games for rotations, cohesion, etc. ISU brings in transfers I bet it’d be a lot uglier if they didn’t have these before auburn. Auburn played UH already. That gives TJ and Co. just as much as an advantage with film as it gives Auburn.
I’ll say the one thing that doesn’t show up in a box score but is something I’m keeping an eye on is how loose we are with the ball on the perimeter at times. All three games we have had stretches where we had a really loose handle and poor perimeter passing but the competition was so poor they couldn’t make us pay. Auburn will pressure the hell out of our guards and make every pass in the half court contested. We will have to tighten things up. The good news is our backcourt is about as experienced as it gets.
I love Watson and feel bad for him. It has been reported that the coaches talked him into staying. If he isn’t going to play, I think that’s a disappointing move. He looks pretty dejected on the bench. After the game last week, TJ said he wished he could have found more
Minutes for Watson. I don’t know how you don’t find an opportunity in a game you win by nearly 30…
