Our guards have been absolute trash tonight. They’ve given up 20 points on turnovers and they’re not good turnovers . Like basic junior high level press break type stuff and that’s really concerning

Bill has a little bit of Fred in him where he allows teams to lose games early in the season.
at least Fred's teams could hang their hat on the offensive scheme though, knowing if they just missed shots they'd lose, but at least they'd get decent looks. This team doesn't have anything to rely on.

UNI is shooting the ball, right at 48% for the game, do that every night and you are going to win a lot of games. For ISU, take the loss and learn from it. They were on fire and there was not ISU could do about it.
A lot easier to shoot that well when we don't play defense (ahem, Crooks) and give UNI a lot of run outs to get into offense quickly.

It seems like as soon as things go bad on offense all the pg does is dribble and force passes or shots

Honestly not going to worry a lot about it. Either we learn from it and build, or we don't and stall out. This has happened before, so I'm sure we will learn (in some ways). It sucks, but maybe this was the wake up call that needed to happen. Better to happen early than late.

I'm sure Bill will coach them up he usually does. I'm not worried I know it's frustrating to lose to a perceived inferior opponent.
but what this team will gain from this loss is much more then a win.

I'm really angry at how they played tonight...but at the same time they can learn from their 1st away game, 1st loss, and take this travesty and make it a positive moving forward.

They will bounce back. But not sure why we are never ready for in state rivals to play out of their freaking minds against us.
I agree. I think we beat drake, then get our ass kicked against South Carolina, Iowa and UConn.

I think Iowa is the best team in the state after watching them twice and I don’t think it’s close . Which is sad given who they lost

Bill does a great job scouting teams in the Big 12 and creates advantages for his team. Always has a plan. Against UNI, Drake and teams like them it’s like he doesn’t even prep for them or even really care. It is crazy.

I bet we play SC, Iowa, and UConn better than UNI and Drake

UNI earned that one. ISU also earned the loss. Terrible lack of effort and execution.

On to the next game with a major lesson.
