2023: Wins the Big 12 Tournament, proceeds to lose to Toledo in the first round

Gets run out of Hilton by a bad Missouri State team in the NCAA tournament.

Loses to a lower seed Creighton in the Sweet 16.

He has done amazing things and I love his players, but he is fairly free of criticism from anyone with a pen or microphone and I don't get it.
Gee...winning around 800 ball games while averaging around 24 wins a season over 30 years will do that for you.

Probably overrated but have some of you never seen what always happens @UNI?

It’s just a formula . I sometimes wish the men still played there so I could bet it and make some easy cash. I do t even need to know much about their teams other than if it’s mostly Iowa kids.

The offense was bleh, defense did bad job of communicating and switching. Team acted like ball was bigger then the rim while UNI acted like rim was 30’ wide. It was bad and tough. Can’t win them all, but ****** losses are the worst. Hoping the team can learn and be better.

Definitely a disappointing loss, but it's early in the season and seems like there are some kinks to work out in the offense, defensive rotations, and determining the best lineup/substition pattern. I thought Harris should have played more but I get trying to play smaller to be quicker on defense. Also it's night and day difference watching the men vs the women and the effort on defense.

Seems like offensively they need to space the floor more and Audi needs to pass out of double/triple teams. I don't get the lack of a game plan for stopping McDermott when she's dominated ISU in the past but I also don't know who ISU's best defender even is.

Everyone seems to overreact but I would bet ISU settles in and is competitive/wins a game or two against Iowa, South Carolina, and Uconn.

Up 8 early in the 3rd, missed back-to-back wide open 3's that would've pushed the lead to double digits.
This is what i worry the most about... seems like last 2 years we've been consistently bad in 3rd quarter

Meh criticize all you want, wbb runs at a loss. It's not like we are going fire Bill and pay a top 10% contract in the wbb world to change things up.

What happened to the women tonight is my #1 fear for the men when they go to Iowa City. Run into a hornets nest and a hot shooting team that wants to knock off a top 10 opponent. I think the men are a different beast than our women's team, so I don't think it will happen, but it's my fear.

Coach Knight once said that every team should win one game and lose one game each season. Those are the games when they are making everything and one when they cannot make a shot.

Tonight UNI shot 49.2% from the field and 12 of 25 from 3 point, hitting 48% for the night. ISU shot 45% and was 8 of 24 from 3, for a decent 33%. Free throws favored UNI by only 4 points. It was one of nights, get over it, it happens, ISU could play UNI and would win 8 out of the 10 games, tonight was just their night. It happens, learn from it, do not over react and go on.
