They're #9 in the CFP currently. So long as they win in the Swamp and don't completely sleepwalk into the Egg Bowl, they'll be in the playoff, despite piling on against 4 cupcakes in their non-con. Seems to be working pretty well for them. What point are you trying to prove?
That guy's a "new" poster and a dooshbag. Likely hawk troll retread. I'd hit ignore on him.

They won all four non-conference games... replace one of those with a conference game that they win. What's the difference?
Yes congrats to them. If they play an extra conference game that means more potential match ups between top teams and you don't have 6 ******* teams sitting at 1-2 loses at the end of the year.

Again there will be 2 loss SEC teams out of the playoff this year and you can 100% blame it on the 8 game schedule.

So your argument is that they should play more conference games so they can eliminate more teams from the playoff discussion? That benefits the conference how?

Yes if you don't want 2 loss teams left out. Keep forgetting that aspect....

oh my bad Tenn is out, not Ole miss. My point still stands. 2 loss SEC team with win over Bama would be out because of the 8 games

Please just think about what you're saying. You want those 6 two-loss teams to play an additional game against one another, leaving you with 3 two-loss teams and 3 three-loss teams. Please tell me how that is good for the SEC.

Tell me how a 2 loss team getting left out is good the SEC

Because 4 of the 6 are getting in instead of 3. This isn't that hard.
The SEC will never get less than 4, even with the 9 games. The partnership with ESPN and poll biases will ensure that. Like Mizzou still being ranked after going 1-2 last 3 games.

Why do you keep moving the goal posts? The SEC would rather have 6 two-loss teams in contention for the playoff than 3 two-loss teams and 3 three-loss teams. There is no question about that.

Because they will have 4 and possibly 5 other teams that will get in depending how it shakes out. How is this hard for you to understand? Sankey isn’t losing sleep if the 6th team gets left out. He would lose sleep if they only had 3 two win teams that got in.

I haven't. I'm sure Sankey loves it, but is going to have to deal with at least one very pissed of fanbase.

Oh no the horror. Maybe they can wipe their tears with the $70-100 million paycheck they get each year while they also get more money from the 4-5 teams that do make it. Please never run or manage money for a business.

Goal posts? the **** does money have to do with making the playoff?

Anyways, I hope A&M beats Texas. After the final rankings, this will be a fun discussion to revisit. Because I will be 100% right.

This is one of the stupidest GD debates I've seen on here, and that is not a short bar to clear.
Guy is literally trying to make the argument that it’s better for the SEC to take more losses so the 6th place team doesn’t feel left out and get sad. Insane.

Anyways, back to ISU/Big 12. As it’s been stated before, that TT loss will give me nightmares if we win out and lose a tiebreaker.

For a conference? Literally EVERYTHING. More teams in = more money to distribute to the conference.
