Iowa doesn’t have to play “out of their minds” to beat us. They are really good, look like they are having fun, and play a fun style.

No one wants to hear it, but I wish we would take some things from them offensively. The way they run the court, especially their secondary fast break, really gets the game moving and crowd excited. Plus gets them some easy buckets. Hopefully this is a bit of an eye opener for us

My favorite play is when Iowa scores on a fast break and then proceeds to give up a layup...

I agree with the first part…Iowa has lots of talent. The last part requires the pieces to run.

Coaches don’t shoot the shots Or play defense.
no but they coach the defense....and our defense has been bad for the last few years now....UNI is a good team and are probably the favorite to win the MVC, but in no way should a team ranked 8th in the country be giving up 87 points and letting McDermott score 37

their ball movement is far superior to ours.....and you don't see their guards lobbing passes down to Stuelke....their play design is phenomenal at getting easy looks for their shooters and their post players.

Iowa is better than us. The one saving grace is O Grady starting. If Audi had to match up with Stuckey it would be game over very quickly

Hawks have a couple of options for playing Crooks. O'Grady has been off to a good start and has beaten out their highly rated freshman post at this point in the season. O'Grady is quite physical but can be foul prone depending on how the game is called (that take is mostly from reading Hawk fans comments on their own team).

My biggest concern is that every single one our players except for maybe Kelsey and Kenzie, is that everyone looks so slow. And like really in an unathletic type of way. Any time there was a loose ball, you'd swear there were bricks attached to their shoes....UNI looked flat out more athletic than us.

And can we stop lobbing passes down low to Audi? How many turnovers did we have just trying to do that alone?

Thank you, I didn't - I watch Cyclone WBB for the players, several of whom I know. I can't stand when people take two or three words out of context and run with it - time for another self-imposed vacation from CF
I try not to be confrontational on this stuff at all and if it was taken out of context, I apologize but I'm not sure how that was. Poorly worded, maybe.

I need to self-impose staying out of game threads again. Cheers.

I think we all know how the game will be called.

If that is the case, adjust to it. Too much bellyaching about the officiating. And it does make a difference, I understand. But, by god, we had better players than UNI. It’s on the coaching staff to get that out of them. We have enough good players that we don’t have to stand pat try something else

Well, do we ever really push the ball that much? Heck, I’d take some solid ball movement. This PG dribbling half the shot clock away is just plain bad.

Know the family of one of the freshman. Athleticism was always my concern after watching her play multiple times. Phenomenal shooter and HS player but also benefitted from playing with multiple athletic D1 level players that she was clearly a step or two slower then. Always felt there was a risk of becoming one dimensional and a defensive liability due to how heavy footed she plays. The little I saw last night it would appear many fit that description.

Man…way too much over reaction from one bad game. I’m reading that we have no ball movement and it’s been that way forever. Obviously the first three games of the year were forgotten as the ball and personnel movement was very good in those games. I read about how slow we are and yet those first three games we didn’t look that way on either end of the court. Let’s all take a deep breath, hopefully enjoy a good game from the football team and see how this women’s team turns around on Sunday. One game does not make the season nor does it bring the sky crashing down.

Let’s be honest Crooks barely plays D. If she had to guard Stuckey we’d be screwed.

I honestly don't know what team you have been watching because we have looked slow and stagnant every single game. Again, this isn't a one game thing, we were simply playing some really bad teams.
